Recently I am trying to use blogs to promote my business websites, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, as far as we know that WordPress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the fact that its licensed under GPL make the WordPress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
Then I found out that I probably should build blogs myself, afterwards I can use the already built blogs to promote whatever I want, this is not something new, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, probably I will have to pay quite dearly to have my sites promoted.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you want values for your blogs,to write interesting content is always time consuming, a successful blog needs a lot of hard work. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, let’s examine this one, Cheap Hosting, the domain name is pretty good, the content on the site is not bad, though its not a theme focused blog, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. Check this one out, Dog Grooming, this is a themed blog, all topics are about same theme, there are a few well ranked keywords for this blog. Its easy to show more similar sites, but the basics are all the same. Last but not least, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, put some random content on those blogs occasionally, take one blog as example, get domains, your blogging network looks more natural with these casual blogs.
After you successfully build a few blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. It sounds pretty simple, but to build a successful network will be much more complicated, follow the professional recommendations and ethic codes of online conduct you will be fine.
